1. Controller
NemosGo GmbHAugustenstraße 16, 80333 München, Germany
Represented by: Dr.-Ing. Markus A. Stulle, Peter Wiedmann
Email: info@nemosgo.eu
We have not appointed a data protection officer, as there is no legal obligation to do so.
2. Purposes, categories and legal bases
2.1 Visiting the website (nemosgo.eu)
When you access our pages, technically necessary data that your browser transmits automatically is processed: IP address, date/time, requested URL, referrer URL, user agent (browser/OS) and any error messages. This is processed to deliver the page, for network and information security, and for error analysis. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).
2.2 Contacting us
If you contact us by email (info@nemosgo.eu), we process the information you provide (email address, topic and message, optionally name and organisation) solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual communication) or (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). The contact form on nemosgo.eu transmits your details to our server in encrypted form; there they are only forwarded by email to info@nemosgo.eu and are not stored permanently.
2.3 Signing up for a test
To take part in a test of the NemosGo app, we process your email address (Apple Account email) and, where applicable, further contact details you provide, in order to send you the invitation and the information needed to participate. The first field test ran from 1 July to 31 August 2026; further tests will follow. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (carrying out participation) or (a) GDPR (consent).
2.4 Communication via Mattermost
For feedback and exchange during the tests we use Mattermost, which we self-host in the EU (with Hetzner). A user account and your messages are processed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
2.5 App distribution via Apple TestFlight
The NemosGo test app is distributed via Apple TestFlight. When you use it, Apple processes data under its own responsibility; this may involve a transfer to the USA. Apple’s privacy terms apply: apple.com/legal/privacy.
2.6 Language setting
To remember your language choice (German/English), we store an entry in your browser’s local storage (ng_lang). It is purely functional, contains no personal data and is not transmitted to us.
2.7 No cookies / no tracking services
We do not use any cookies for analytics or marketing on nemosgo.eu and do not embed any external tracking scripts. No profiling takes place.
2.8 NemosGo app and payment (M-Pay)
To take part in a test you use the NemosGo app. Within the app, the following are processed, among others: login/authentication (via Apple Sign-In; towards the provider you appear pseudonymously, without your real name), your credit (wallet) and a stored IBAN (stored encrypted; an example IBAN is sufficient in the tests and no real debit occurs), payment and transaction data, invoices and the delivered content. Payments in the tests use test credit.
3. Recipients and processors
For hosting, server operation and operating Mattermost, we use Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. For email we use IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany: our mailbox info@nemosgo.eu is hosted there, and we use it to send the messages from the contact form and the test invitations. Both providers act for us as processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The app is distributed via Apple (TestFlight). Any further disclosure only takes place where legally required (e.g. to authorities) or for legal defence.
Neues Morgenblatt: In terms of content, the tests are run at Neues Morgenblatt (feldtest.neuesmorgenblatt.de). For the steps for which Neues Morgenblatt is responsible, Neues Morgenblatt is a separate controller; its own privacy policy applies in that respect.
4. Transfers to third countries
We do not transfer your data to third countries if you merely visit our website. When using Apple TestFlight, a transfer to the USA may take place; this is Apple’s responsibility.
5. Storage period
- Web/server logs: usually 7–14 days, longer in case of security/error incidents.
- Email and test communication: until the respective test or enquiry is concluded. If you take part in further tests, until your participation ends. After that we delete the data unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.
- Backups: scheduled, rolling up to 30 days.
6. Obligation to provide data
Providing basic connection data is technically necessary to deliver our website. The data mentioned in 2.3 is required to take part in a test; participation is not possible without it.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21), as well as the right to withdraw a given consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).
8. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where we base processing on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
9. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making or profiling takes place (Art. 22 GDPR).
10. Security
We protect data through organisational and technical measures (including TLS, system hardening, access and permission concepts, logging).
11. Changes
This privacy policy is updated as needed. The current version is permanently available at nemosgo.eu/en/datenschutz.html.
