Who this is for
Retailers selling in the shop and on the web. Marketplaces where others offer their goods. Shop systems and merchandise management that retailers build on.
What they have in common: the decision to buy is made outside their own system more and more often.
Why this matters here
Buying is moving into the assistants. An open standard for it has existed since the beginning of 2026, carried by large retailers, card networks and payment processors, and Google has built it into its AI search and into Gemini. It governs search, cart, checkout and orders, and it leaves the retailer as the contracting party. The question is not whether this is coming, but on what terms you sell there.
Purpose and limits are optional there. The standard provides for recording what a person has authorised their agent to do, meaning purpose, price limit and period, but not by default. The standard case is a payment token. Anyone who later wants to show that a person permitted this particular purchase has to bring that proof themselves.
The surface belongs to someone else, and so does the payment rail beneath it. Ranking, fees and terms are decided by whoever owns both. Retail knows this from the marketplaces.
What changes with NemosGo
One transaction, wherever it starts. Your customer decides on a social media post, in a chat with an assistant, on your website or in front of the shelf. Today each of those routes leads into a different system, and every switch costs purchases. With NemosGo it is the same transaction, with the same credit and the same receipt, wherever it began. The credit is in euros, not a crypto asset.
The receipt is already digital. From 2028 the paper receipt is to give way to a digital one, for example by QR code on the till display, by download link or in the customer account. The German cabinet adopted the bill on 23 September 2026. A paper receipt will then only be issued on request. With NemosGo every purchase produces a receipt anyway, digital and for both sides, in store as well as online. For purchases you take at your till by card or in cash, we already deliver the receipt digitally today. How that works together with your point-of-sale system and its technical security system (TSE) is something we clarify with you. Paying with NemosGo at the till is also planned.
Billing AI costs where they arise. AI works at your end too, in customer service, in search, in advertising. An application buys model usage per call from a credit balance and receives a receipt for every call. That lets costs be allocated to a department, a branch or a campaign, continuously instead of as a spreadsheet after the fact.
Auctioning what is scarce or left over. You set the starting price and the rules, and in the app the price rises or falls. A worked example is on the auction page.
Which products fit
- Single purchase: the digital item, the voucher, the add-on service. You set the price, the customer pays from their credit, and the delivery goes into the app.
- Delegated: when a customer sends their assistant off with a task, they approve an amount and a purpose beforehand, and the assistant buys from you within those limits.
- Buy and allocate costs: your own applications buy model usage per call, and every receipt names the application that caused the AI cost.
- Auction: for remaining stock, scarce goods and special lots. The auction runs where your audience already is, live in a stream as well. Payment happens in the app.
Where our part ends
Between businesses there is always a contract and always an invoice. With consumers the customer decides whether they want an invoice, and whether they share their name for it. Without their consent the merchant does not get it.
With physical goods, warehousing, shipping and returns stay with you. NemosGo documents the agreement, the approval and the payment, not the journey of the parcel.
In practice
- The purchase by an assistant: it finds the seller, sees the price, pays and receives the delivery. In Claude the route has been running since the end of July 2026, in ChatGPT it is built and tested. Both purchases can be watched unedited on the field test page.
- The purchase out of the channel: from a post on a social network, from a QR code, from a link that can be shared, each of them into the app. No customer account in the provider’s shop, no basket, no card form. The route on video.
- The seller’s side in one run, with a publisher as the example: put up an issue, set a price, a reader buys a single piece out of it for 25 cents. Screen recording, 1:28 minutes.
- A test app in which the approval of an AI budget and purchases made from it can both be demonstrated.
- Billing AI usage per call. The receipt names which application or which department triggered the cost, recorded in the field test since August 2026.
- The auction in both directions, with rising and falling prices, built and tested.
